The future of robotics in shipbuilding
On March 20, 2025, at 4:30 PM, an important conference on the future of robotics and its applications in the shipbuilding sector will be held at the Port Authority of Pisa, located at Via Darsena 3/5. The Yacht Club Porto di Pisa is organising the event in collaboration with Porto di Pisa, Port Authority Pisa, Lega Navale Pisa, Lions del Mare and Nexman.
During the meeting, Dr. Dino Ravanelli, CEO of Nexman, will explore the state of the art in robotics, illustrating the various types of robots used in industrial, collaborative, humanoid, and autonomous navigation applications and analyzing their differences and specific uses. Particular focus will be given to improving production quality, operator safety, and specific applications in shipbuilding, such as sanding, painting, and polishing.
The event represents a valuable opportunity for professionals in the nautical sector and for anyone interested in discovering the potential offered by new technologies in the field of production and naval maintenance.
